The Validate Gate Config form validates the selected gate configuration.

This feature is a work in progress and therefore cannot validate all mistakes in the selected gate configuration.

Prerequisites

• Gate Configuration Validation privilege: If you do not have the privilege, N4 does not display the Validate Gate Configuration option when you click the Actions button. For more information on editing a role, see Roles view.

To validate a gate configuration, N4 checks for:

• Missing mandatory fields in a gate form based on the included business tasks.

For example, if you include the RejectCarrierVisitPastCutoff (on page 1) business task for a gate transaction type, you must also include the mandatory fields Hazards - Add/Edit and Hazard Checked in the gate form for the gate transaction type.

• Missing dependent business task based on the included business tasks.

For example, if you include the ApplyInspectionDamages (on page 1) business task, you must also include the WaitForContainerInspection (on page 1), ApplyContainerDamages (on page 1), and ApplyCtrAccessoryDamages (on page 1) business tasks for the gate transaction type.

• A valid next gate stage.

To validate the gate configuration:

1. In the left pane, select the gate configuration that you want to validate.

2. Select Actions Validate Gate Configuration.

3. Select one of the check boxes displayed in the form to enable the Save button.

The check boxes in the Validate Gate Config form are not used in the code and will be removed from the interface in a future release.

4. Click Save.

N4 validates the gate configuration and displays any configuration errors that need to be resolved in the Application Error form. To close the Application Error form, click OK. If no errors are found, N4 closes the Validate Gate Config form.
